San Diego Comic-Con President John Rogers Passes Away

Comic-Con International announced on Sunday that its president John Rogers passed away on the morning of Saturday, November 10 due to complications from glioblastoma. He is survived by his wife Janet Tait, his sister Barbara, and his brother David.
Rogers was the longest serving president of Comic-Con International, elected in 1986, and re-elected every year since. Rogers started working for the event in 1978, and he previously worked as the convention's Technical Coordinator and Films Coordinator.
Comic-Con International runs the the Comic-Con International: San Diego (informally known as "San Diego Comic Con" or "SDCC") pop culture convention, which has been running annually since 1970. Since 2010, the event has recorded an annual attendance of around 130,000 or more.
