Afro Samurai's Takashi Okazaki Designs Furi PS4 Game

The Game Bakers, a French independent game studio, announced on the PlayStation blog on Wednesday that it will release the hack-and-slash combat game Furi on PlayStation 4 next year. Studio co-founder Emeric Thoa described the original concept of the game as "one long boss fight," and revealed that Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki designed the guardians that the player battles.
The studio describes the story:
You were captured. Look what they've done to you… time to wake up! The jailer is the key, kill him and you'll be free. Defeat one boss after another to escape this surreal prison and discover what's waiting behind the last gate.
Thoa and studio co-founder Audrey Leprince previously worked at Ubisoft. As The Game Bakers, they released the Squids tactical RPGs, the Combo Crew brawler, and the TMNT mobile brawler game.
Okazaki created the Afro Samurai manga that inspired two anime projects and two games. He also contributed designs to the Onimusha Soul and Sengoku Taisen games.
