Doraemon Gets 'Anywhere Door' VR Experience in February
posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
To commemorate the March 4 opening of Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Nankyoku Kachi Kochi Daibōken (Doraemon the Movie 2017: Great Adventure in the Antarctic Kachi Kochi), the 37th film in the Doraemon franchise, Bandai Namco Entertainment is planning to launch a new virtual reality experience based on Doraemon's Anywhere Door.
This experience is designed to take users from Nobita's room to the South Pole, the setting of the new film, and will have vibrations, the sensation of wind, and sounds. It will take place at the Tokyo Solamachi on February 15 to 19.
The new VR experience is part of Bandai Namco's "Project I Can" experience, which ran in Odaiba's Diver City Tokyo from April to October, and offered experiences of anywhere from testing fear of heights, driving, and escaping an abandoned hospital, to Gundam, and a mecha experience by Katsuhiro Harada. Tohru Furuya even demoed the Gundam experience in August.
