The July issue of Shueisha's Cocohana magazine is announcing on Thursday that Akiko Higashimura (Princess Jellyfish/Kuragehime, Kakukaku Shikajika) will publish a one-shot manga, titled "Bishoku Tantei" (Gourmet Detective). The manga will run in color in the magazine's next issue, which Shueisha will publish on June 27.
The magazine teases:
The entire story begins and ends with food?! The handsome detective's thrilling case files!
Higashimura's Kuragehime manga inspired the 2010 Princess Jellyfish television anime series, which Funimation released in North America. Her earlier series Omo ni Naitemasu inspired a live-action television series in 2012.
Among other titles, Higashimura is also currently drawing Tokyo Tarareba-jō for Kodansha's Kiss and Yukibana no Tora, a biography of a female Uesugi Kenshin, in Shogakukan's Hibana magazine.
