The Ginyu Force - Infamous and Elite Mercenaries Debut in the Season 3 Launch of Dragon Ball The Breakers
IRVINE, Calif. – June 9, 2023 – Leading video game developer and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc., today launched Season 3 of its asymmetrical multiplayer game DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS. Season 3 introduces the new “Snowy Mountain” map, new Survivor skins, new powerful Transpheres, and of course, the infamous Ginyu Force! The elite mercenaries are the game's first “Team-Up” Type Raider, with powerful abilities for each of their four distinct forms. DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS is available on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch™, and PC via STEAM®, and is compatible with PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S. Each member of the Ginyu Force is represented as part of the Raider's evolution, with each form equipped with their abilities from the anime. Skilled players can further increase the Raider's power by keeping each form alive before they evolve, enabling them to unleash the Ginyu Force's full potential with subsequent transformations.
*First Form: Guldo – Guldo's special ability can temporarily halt the movement of Survivors with the "Paralysis" and "Time Freeze" skills to corner them and deal massive damage. If Guldo is alive when evolving, he will patrol around the map and continue to freeze Survivors.
*Second form: Recoome - Recoome can search for Survivors with a Scouter and has access to several powerful close-range attacks. If Recoome is alive when evolving, he will increase the Raider's close-range damage against Survivors.
*Third form: Jeice and Burter - Jeice can be directly controlled by players, while Burter appears during the use of special moves. Both fighters can unleash extremely powerful combination attacks capable of attacking wide groups of Survivors at long range. If Jeice and Burter are alive when evolving, they will increase the range of the Raider's Super Attacks.
*Fourth Form: Captain Ginyu – Captain Ginyu's “Body Change” skill can swap bodies with a Survivor, which lets him transform into that Survivor at the maximum transformation level while leaving the original Survivor weakened and their transformation level reduced to Level 1. Captain Ginyu will boost his stats and passive abilities based on which Ginyu Force members successfully evolved.
Season 3 of DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS adds the “Snowy Mountain” map, and new Survivor skins based on DRAGON BALL characters, with Dende, Fortuneteller Baba, and King Kai skins now available to collect. Players can also acquire three new Super Saiyan Transpheres that add skills to players' arsenal, including: Instant Descent, where players instantaneously land on the group, Father-Son Kamehameha, a powerful special attack inspired by an iconic DRAGON BALL moment, and two passive skills based on Goten (Super Saiyan).
Fortuneteller Baba can be earned by unlocking Ranks in this Season's Dragon Tier. The Ginyu Force, remaining Survivor skins, Transpheres, and additional customization items can be acquired with TP Tokens, used in the in-game store.

DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS is an asymmetrical multiplayer game that pits seven Survivors, regular civilians trapped in a “Temporal Seam,” against a Raider, one of the famous rivals from the DRAGON BALL universe. The Survivors will have to team up to be able to escape their foe and come back to the safety of their world and timeline. The game shares the same universe as DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE and contains features that link DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 and DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS.
