eShop download with new touch-based mode, "Special Remedy" items, online one-on-one battles
Nintendo launched the Dr. Mario Gyakuten! Tokkōyaku & Saikin Bokumetsu (Dr. Mario Reversal! Special Remedy & Germ Buster) game on the Nintendo 3DS via an eShop download on Sunday. The company presented an introductory video during its live-streamed Nintendo Direct presentation:
The game offers three modes of gameplay: standard "Dr. Mario" where players match falling capsule colors to a virus to destroy it, "Dr. Luigi" with L-shaped capsule blocks, and "Germ Buster" in which players can use the touchscreen. The game introduces "Special Remedies" items in the Dr. Mario and Dr. Luigi modes to help clear stages (or cause problems for your opponent). The game offers one-on-one battles via the Internet or local Wi-Fi.
