TV Tokyo to Air English Mainichi Kaasan/Kaasan - Mom's Life

TV Tokyo opened a preview site for its English broadcast of the Mainichi Kaasan family comedy anime series on Monday. The English version will premiere under the name Hello! Mainichi Kaasan on April 4, and it will run every weekday from 6:40 to 6:45 a.m. The anime adapts Rieko Saibara's award-winning Mainichi Kaasan manga about humorous everyday experiences of Saibara's own life with her two children.
In the new version, Kōsuke Yabe and Mau Konishi will help viewers learn English; the two played the children Bunji and Fumi, respectively, in this year's live-action film adaptation of the manga. TV Tokyo announcers Rena Akimoto and Miki Handa will also star in the new version.
The Crunchyroll website began streaming the English-subtitled version of the series under the name Kaasan - Mom's Life outside Japan in 2009.
