Trivia:

In Episode 5, one of the movies is called "Mirai Tantei Conan Saikyo" with the poster of a man wearing shades and a red bow tie although he`s topless, clearly its a parody of "Meitantei Conan".

In Episode 6, Shirahama Kenichi is hiding his food because of how in kung-fu movies, keeping your food from being eaten is training in itself. The scene shown is a parody from the movie "Drunken Master" starring Jackie Chan.

In episode 17, one of Kumidori Gonzo's followers, after Sakaki Shio shows up stopping him from beating Kenichi, says "it's over 9,000," Vegeta's famous line in english dubbed version of Dragon Ball Z.

In Episode 19, as Niijima Haruo and Shirahama Kenichi part ways, Niijima Haruo does the hand sign of "Live, Long and Prosper" made famous by the tv and movies "Star Trek" which kinda fits him because he has the same long ears like the Vulcans.

In Episode 22, cornered by Tanimoto "Hermit" Natsu, Niijima Haruo taunts him before diving into the river, as Niijima Haruo dives he shouts "Fujiko-chan", clearly he imitates "Lupin Sansei"s famous line (and "diving" look) whenever he sees Mine Fujiko in any half-naked situations or otherwise, in the anime.

In Episode 43, Shirahama Kenichi was so scared of Furinji Hayato`s agility to kick near his head, the scene behind Shirahama Kenichi being shown is Furinji Hayato parodying "Shimamura Joe" from the anime "Cyborg 009" with a different ray gun and color of clothing.
