I've heard great things about this one, and the trailer looks great! The premise seems like something I'd like as well.

Absolutely GORGEOUS! I am so glad I will have both Frieren and Kusuriya to look forward to for October.
Replacing Sakurai as Jinshi was kind of obvious. If Jinshi was a side character or something, they may have been able to get away with keeping Sakurai. But Jinshi the male lead of the story, so this was inevitable.

Voices sound perfect for both Maomao and Jinshi. The artwork is looking very nice too.

Was Sakurai ever confirmed at any point to be playing Jinshi? I can't find anything on ANN about it.

iirc Sakurai voiced Jinshi in the CD dramas.

I've only read the first volume, but after hearing hints of what happens in volume 5 I kind have lost interest in this series. I doubt the anime will get that far any time soon as neither of the manga adaptations are even that far, but still hard for me to look at the male lead in the same light.

He voiced Jinshi on Drama CD, and they kept Yuuki Aoi as MaoMao from there (and I presume most of the other cast will reprise their roles).
